When I was 5 years old and after watching my brother, Cameron, ride his bike so much, I was determined to learn. My Dad took the training wheels and pedals off so I could learn how to balance my bike. After 4 days I asked my Dad to put the pedals back on and away I went. That October, I did the 5-mile family ride at the Evesham Harvest with my Mother and met my brother and Dad for the last mile of their ride.
I feel free when riding my bike. The wind blowing in my face, the bright blue sky, and spending the time with my family feels so good. This year, my Father bought me a new road bike which has been very exciting because of how fast I can go. I enjoy stopping at Johnson’s farm for water ice during my rides with Dad. I set a goal to ride in the American Cancer Society Bike-a-thon this year and I am proud to say that I completed the 20 mile course finishing in Atlantic City this year. I look forward to getting stronger and faster to ride with Team Evesham.
When I am not riding my bike I enjoy spending my time doing other activities. My passion is Gymnastics. I am a Level 4 Gymnast and spend 16 hours a week in the gym. It can be very tough with occasional bruises or injuries, but the strength and discipline that I have learned along with the relationships I have built with my team-mates is why I love it. During the summer I enjoy competing on the swim team, Larchmont Barracudas and during the school year I study Ballet.
I look forward to riding with Team Evesham for years to come and building friendships along the way. It will be fun to explore new places and events with all of you!
